North East  Illinois is covered with a blanket of smoke . According to the police and then the news network , Minnesota is the responsible party. Must be a big BBQ

I'm between Milw and Chicago, gotta be a good 300-400 miles away and it smelled like a campfire half a block away.

I got this from a displaced Packer fan in our office (here in MN):

The NFL has issued an apology to Wisconsin for the smoke that can be seen and smelled across the state. The apology went on to say that if Minnesota didn't blow and Chicago didn't suck, they would have not been affected.

I just heard from a friend that they evac'ed the road I used to live on up there. I hope there are no houses lost but in all reality, the fires are just part of nature's system of cleaning out old growth and making room for new. I will be beautiful in a year or two.

The unfortunate thing is we have built and inhabited the areas that always have burnt, and that's from TX to MN, and now we have to try to stop those fires to protect our properties.
