Back about 1960 or 61 years ago, I'd of tried to eat the 72 oz steak meal.. I got 7/8's of the 72 ounce steak, taters and such down. I think I could have done it but I ran out of time. When the time was up I quit. I should have gone on to see if I could of done it. Was sick for a few days after that test. The CHP didn't think too much of that foolishness as my CO called it. I was on vacation and it took me 6 days to go from there to San Diego, to my Area assignment. I was 3 days late or as they put it AWOL, no pay....... Back then that hurt.... Wife wanted to kill me, but thought it was a good challenge for me. I think, if I remember correctly, she drove about 90% of the way back. Prior to that it was drive out a tank full and ya got to ride shotgun till the next tank. http://www.bigtexan.com/history.htmlGads we, should say, I used to do some crazy stuff. Some of the memories it brings back makes the hair on my neck stick straight OUT.

The Big One, a heart-stopping giant fry-up boasting 7,500 calories - three times the recommended daily intake. Weighing in at a whopping three kilos, it includes three sausages, three beef burgers, three fried eggs, three rashers of bacon, three slices of black pudding, three square sausages, three portions of beans and three portions of mushrooms. But that's not all. On the side are three potato waffles, three potato scones, three hash browns, three portions of fried bread, three rounds of bread and butter and three rounds of toast.Don't we refer to something like that as an appetizer here in America?

Leave out the black pudding, and I just might be willing to give that one a go... Sounds pretty tasty actually! (Other than the black pudding, of course... )

Looks like one or two a week get the freebie http://www.bigtexan.com/72oz%20steak%20eaters.pdfMy son in law tried but failed. Cost a pretty penny when your paying for it. I did not even try. Had a nice normal size steak dinner for a good price.
