I'm not certain what you all are worked up about. He's interacting with a crowd of his supporters. They shouted to him, "We love you." He, in a good natured way, retorted, "If you love me help me get this bill passed."
I'm assuming promoting the bill was what the gathering was about.

He was campaigning for re-election on the taxpayers dime. Not the first to do so, nor the last, but that does not make it right.

eh... No one is ALL bad. I'm with Willow here. That was a crowd interaction. Just as Bush detractors could find where he did NOTHING right... that wasn't fodder IMO.
Be proud... he went off prompter for a moment.
Disclaimer...
I am in NO way an Obama supporter... I am just a reasonable conservative.

If you love me, help me pass this bill!
What bill? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? This morning on John Gamblings radio show I heard that NOTHING was even submitted to congress to look at. NOTHING! NOT A THING! There is nothing put down on paper. All of this is an illusion, and fortunately, the folks in this country who actually are informed and paying attention realize he's not a very good magician/illusionist. The only thing he's good at is making our money disappear!

I agree with you.
But it still doesn't do any good to villianize someone. Just like the left villanized Bush... I don't think Obama WANTS to do harm to America. He's harming it... but I don't believe it's his goal.

Then why would he try to do MORE of what hurt us in the first place. Every policy put in place thus far has had the exact opposite effect of what he "said" would happen. Then, knowing this, he pushes for MORE ? ? ?
"I believe the United States is the greatest country in the word, now stand by me and help change it" or something very similar to that. The apology tour. Cap and trade. Obamacare. All designed to bankrupt the country. But not done on purpose? Really?

They all do things that have proven to be failures in history. Raising taxes to increase revenue. Socialism in general. It's failed many times, but they think they can make it work THIS time.
The republicans let us down when we gave them the whole schmear in 2000. House, Senate, AND the White House. They still GREW government. Yet... here we are... bitching about the Democrats, and readying ourselves to elect them AGAIN, even though they let us down. They (Both parties) have been letting us down for 50 years. They have BOTH had the opportunity to fix things that everyone has known was broken many times... but chose NOT to. Yet we KEEP electing them.
When we elect Reps again, and we will, they will let us down again. Until we get our cranial-rectal inversion corrected, we're gonna have more of the same ol' shtuff.
When asked why he left the Democratic Party, Ron Reagan responded by saying... "I didn't leave the Democratic Party. It left me."
That's where we are now. With a VERY few exceptions... the Republican party has left me. It's time to move on.
Fixing this is OUR responsibility. The final responsibility lies with US. The voters, NOT the politicians. They do what they do. WE keep bringing them back to do it some more. When we reelect them, it sends the message that we approve of what they are doing. I for one do not, and I will not vote for any one of them. I vote EVERY election. I write them ALL the time.
This is our generations responsibility to fix. Lets not pass it onto our kids.

Unfortunately in the two party system we are stuck with whatever candidates the partys choose.
Big campaign funds, big mouths, big promises, Big egos, etc. The Primarys don't mean much. It's just like polls. Whoever is the 'purtiest' on TV. Most people are swayed by what the candidates promise, not by what their record is.
The thing that gets me is the Republicans are raising cain with each other but they promise that they will be 110% behind whoever wins the primaries . A good example is Rick Perry. The Republicans are all jumping on him while the Democrats take notes. Personal gain comes first, followed by the Party. National politics STINK!
I was elected to four term as a Republican councilman. I still beat my opponent in my fourth term even tho he took out full page ads in the Ft. Wayne papers. I spent 50 bucks on pens that I delivered house to house, along with listening. (no, I didn't kiss any babies either, LOL.)
Local politics works, not all that great, sometimes, but a lot better than National politics. Maybe if we had a third party.
