I've got ( 2 ) Buick Park Ave. I've had a few issues with one of them lately seems after throwing about $1,500.00 at it , it MIGHT be fixed. Never had any problems whatsoever with the heating or A/C ( Knocking on wood as I type this ) in fact they both have heater's that will bake muffins and the A/C will throw ice balls at you. I've had one since new and bought the other with very low miles from a Granny.

I've only had problems when they used the Dex-cool stuff. My 96 Jimmy plugged and our 01 Blazer had crap in it. I think if it is flushed 'regularly' it would be fine. Last night I just back flushed the core separate. My 85 Chevy's went out in 05. It was original and just leaked. Then it ran like a river, I had to put my feet up.  Grin

I think you will have issues with any vehicle.

Don't know if its true, but it fits. My 2000 S10 started overheating at about 100000 miles. Changed the thermostat, radiator, etc. Finally went and changed the waterpump, and the impeller vanes were gone. Not broken, just GONE!  Asked a GM mechanic, and was given the explanation that Dex Crap  becomes corrosive as it ages. Asked what to do and was told to flush and replace with good old fashioned green. If you really want to screw with your mechanic, Volvo used purple a one time, and Mack has their own brand thats Blue.  That'll make your mechanic scratch his head!!!! Undecided
