If the pic is already on your computer... click on PROFILE above... Under "Modify Profile" click on "Forum Profile Information.  Click on the little circle that says "I will upload my own picture" ... Hit browse and double click the pic on your computer that you want.  It'll work. cooldude

I just tried that, too, and it didn't work for me, either.  ???

Does one have to delete the existing pic first?
Does it have to be resized first to avatar size?

I was beating my head against the wall, thought for sure the new pic came from photo stash. So indeed the new photo is uploaded from the computer after it has been re sized, works perfect.
