I am doing my carbs...bike sitting for three years. Following the service manual...can/nyshould I lubricate part during reassy...example the the starting enrichment valve (SE) valve or any o rings for that matter. Cleaning right now any help asap is appreciated. Thanks

you can use some silicone spray lube on the enrichment valves, works great for me. The O rings I would not lube or if you do maybe some silicone greas lube.

can't think of much that would need lubed, anything gas touches would wash right off anyway. does the manual you are reading reccomend it ? if not - don't - no need to repair things that ain't broke.

I use Parker o-ring lub. Most places that sells o-rings should carry it. We use it offshore on the ship.

Trying to break apart all six carbs was hell.  The four rods holding them all together had all kinds of crap growing on them...

A little sanding and a little grease to facilitate future removal was my solution.

This is what I used and I found it at Kragens auto , (now O'reilys). about $4.xx should be enough in there for 3-4 total carb rebuilds.. or more.

Worked PERFECT, everything is as smooth as can be imagined.
