For anybody's info, I just put in LED lights in the speedo and tach (with help from the board) and just went out since it is dark here in St. Louis.  WOW, they are three times brighter. I really like them.  I got them from   superbrightleds  phone 314 972 6200.  The bulbs I got were
WLED-G5 ( a green led), the price was $4.14 per bulb.  I also put in a LED taillight bulb,
a 1157-R19WV (100 degree).  I don't really know the difference there cause I forgot to look at the old light before I changed it-duh.

Sugerbear,   It was on a 97 standard.

Have you been riding right at dusk when the numbers disappear on the speedometer? I would interested to know if this bulb cured that issue. Also when I converted my rear turn signals to the 1157 socket I used the 1157 100 degree R 30 WV Red LED's from superbright. They are a lot brighter than the stock 1157 in the tail light. If this green LED you used clears up the low light issue I will order this as well as another 1157. Thanks for the heads up.

I know evening time photos are harder to do, but I'd like to see some pictures too.  Definitely an easy upgrade.

Brian,   I didn't really notice any difference at dusk. When it got dark, there was a dramatic difference.
Savrip,  Geez, I can barely use the computer, pictures are way beyond me.  Sorry
