Was having some home made taco's for dinner tonight.  Don't usually read the boxes much but for some reason my son noticed this little ditty on the taco shell box.

A closer look

As long as it doesn't come from China, I'm cool with it.   I was amused, though,  when I accompanied Jill to the Sun Harvest store and saw genuine "Product of Mexico" prickly pear cactus leaves for sale. They grow in a lot of back yards in my town (cooked cactus leaf taco is called "nopalito" ).
Smiley  Maybe grown in Mexico is better, like Cuban tobacco grown in Cuba  rather than the Dominican Republic.

The origins of the Fortune Cookie as we know it today were laid down by the Chinese 49'ers who worked on the building of the great American railways through the Sierra Nevada into California.
