Working on a set to mount for a friend and was looking at the area underneath where the turn signals go. I've never messed with this setup before, but when I placed the rubber standoff on the bottom it was much smaller in diameter than the attachment point. I always thought they were a direct bolt on but apparently not. I can bolt the curved arms to the fork mounts quite easily, the lamps already on it look good, it's the turn lamps I'm questioning. Is there something missing maybe, what have some of you done?

Thanks, I'll see if I can wake him up.  Wink  There are a couple hubcaps; just plain Hubcap, and Hubcapsc. Do you know which one?

Mine aren't installed right now. For 97-99, when you remove the signals from the bike, you also remove
these rubber frobs from the signals... then the signal should fit right on and screw on to the rivco just
like it screwed onto the frob...

On 2000+ there's a difference... I put the instructions here - two giant jpg files, you should be
able to read them...

Mike, I'm having a problem getting the instructions printed. When I save the picture it creates a sideways image and much too small to read. Any suggestions?

Yeah, the instructions would be better as ascii letters, not a j-peg from someone's camera  Wink ...

There's plenty of resolution in both jpegs to read the words on your screen, you may want to open
the jpegs with paint (if you have any flavor of windows, you have paint) and turn it 90 degrees, and
the read the words on your screen. If you actually wanted to print it out in a readable form, then you
can use paint to crop out everything except the part of the picture that has the page on it,
and then use paint's "print preview" and "page setup" some combination of profile or landscape to
get it to print out something you can read... it is easy to do, but then I mess with graphics all the time...

Just opening it in paint and turning it so you don't have to read sideways and reading it from your computer
screen might be the best bet...

Rivco installed mine and they told me that once they were mounted my signals could not be used as stock again . I just took them off and put new turn signals on because the light bar was starting to rust . I've got all the parts if you need anything

John, I don't know if you've read the instructions yet, but now that I am home I
made easier-to-print versions...  I added them to the same
place:

  http://hubcap.clemson.edu/~hubcap/rivco/

instructions.jpg and pictures.jpg

They should print on a single page from Microsoft Paint with:

File
  Page-Setup
     Fit-to: 1 by 1
  Print

... and they should print pretty easy 100 other ways...

I'm guessing that you're working on a post '99 bike, and that once you've read
the instructions you'll see how to modify your blinkers, or you might want to
take pocobubba up on his offer...

Well, to begin with I realized quickly that you don't reuse the rubber standoff. So, when I bolted the lamp ass'y. to the arm I think it looks rather tacky. First, it's not a solid attachment, the turn signal will move back and forth easily and since it's plastic(another Honda goof) you don't want to tighten it down real hard. Second, I think it looks doubly tacky because the diameter of the lamp stem is so much smaller than the round portion it mounts into. What on earth were they thinking with that stupid design. I'm tossing around an idea of making a plug that is exactly the inside dia. of that lower section, cut a slot for the tab to fit in, then drill from the side for the mounting hole to bolt it into place. Then drill a hole in the center for an aftermarket lamp to be used in place of the OEM lamps. It would be a solid installation and would certainly look 1000% better.
