A light rain can be refreshing even on a cool morning.

This mural was painted on the side of a Lincolnton, NC building in the '50s. It has been faded for my entire life, until it was recently repainted. Beautification funds and downtown development funds were used to touch up the Coke sign.

I'm partial to old advertising murals. I ride by this mural some mornings on the way to work. I'm pleased that it turned out well. Until  I pulled over to have my picture taken I didn't realize how large it was.

Sadly, I couldn't get the rest of the mural in a hurry. Sometime when both sides of the street are clear I'll try to pull back more and change angles to see the other side. That just gives me another reason to ride around with a camera.

I like ole art.

I kinda prefer the faded look, but if you keep letting it fade it'll eventually disappear. So I guess you have to repaint it eventually.

Cool pic either way.

That do bring back some recollections. Anvil yer correctt. If it wasn't renewed from time to time it would fade completely. And a lot of us know what happens to memories over time. uglystupid2 Thanks Big IV for the memory jog. cooldude Nice pics. coolsmiley RIDE SAFE.

They should have updated the price.

If you buy a coke at an Atlanta Braves game it is about, $5! Shocked Easy fix for the mural I guess.

I like old signs like that. Esp the 'Chew Mail Pouch' on sides of barns. Cool seat by the way.  cooldude

I'd like to see a Valk in front a Mail Pouch sign. I haven't seen one in a while. I'm a fan of those ole school advertisements. They make nice Valk back drops.

If you can bring the bike away from the sign until it looks as wide as the sign and photograph from a low angle so the top of the winshield lines up with the top of the sign.

Could look good................................................but then again I've never slept in a Holiday Inn Express

That could be cool. I'll have to try that next time I have a moment.
