i have been buying the Kimpex headlight bulbs as they are considerably less expensive than the Honda H4 bulbs by about half. i have gone through 3 sets in 2 and 1/2 years? this seems very excessive to me. i checked the charging system output and it is right in spec. i have spoken with others who use the bulbs in the same application as me and others as well and they dont have any issues? anyone else hear of a similar issue?

No, but do you handle the bulb with gloves and degreas it first? These bulbs get hot, and I think they fail because they overheat from finger oils.

I have been useing Siver stars and they have lasted 2 1/2 years
so far. Like was mentioned before, I always clean them with
alcahol just before I install them.
