My former boss went from 376 pounds to 195 in about 10 months.  Shocked He did it on some liquid diet under physician's supervision and talk-therapy.  tickedoff

He was at 195 for about 15 minutes... and as they say, the rest is history (in the making). Sad

I have lost 85 lbs since Feb 1, 2011.  I did it by "not putting *&R_T#* in my mouth", walking/jogging the best I could, and starting a contest at work.  All three of these things are critical.  Having my wife doing the same things helps a lot too.

Might not have had to do the carrige bolt mod to the rear fender for the CT if we weighed what we do now...  Smiley

P.S.  I have a fat pair of jeans that I kept just to keep telling myself that I am not going back there.

And a BIG congrats Hayhauler & BJ! Great job!

I have been meaning to get started again. Was down 50 lbs when I met my wife, and with her good cooking and my lack of control, put it all back on...  Cry

2K-Valk;
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Roll Eyes
I mean, if you like fake boobs, fake chicks (both), lip augmentation, tummy tucks, liposuction, transgender garb, etc,
then a visit to LA is in order. Shocked
Here you can find whatever turns you off! But, if you seek "real" beauty, travel east. ???

I lived in New York City during the 70's. Because of its worldwide diversity, in NYC you'd encounter the most naturally beautiful people,
no matter your preference in color, height, race, sexual preference, etc.  Kiss Cheesy cooldude

Indeed, the most naturally beautiful people in the USA are found east of Las Vegas! Evil

As for weight and appearance, I am 5'6" and 240 pounds. Not a "pretty" picture.
However, for me, loosing weight is not an option. I've got too much invested in this barrel-shaped belly. Besides, my cat finds great comfort nappin' on my belly and I look really cute ridin' the Valk.  2funny

Maybe because I ride a Valk and a
Harley I have noticed one thing.
That,s that both bikes can haul
quite a bit. I know I have seen some V-twins
haul quite a bit over what they should.
At 160 I don,t think the Valk knows I am
along for ride when I am out.

When Gravity gets you down, hop a ride on a scoot.

It will melt your troubles away.

Fat people know they are fat, why should we pile on with the fat comments.

Speaking of me I am 6 foot 3 and 268, not exactly a pee wee.

Get comments like when is it due.

And where do you buy the round shirts.

It really hurts my feelings.

Not.

Tallest windshield I know of and I can still see over it.

Triple x Helmet and sixe 14 boots, hands and arms like an orangutan.

Gotta love the big folks and then there is little Eric in Maryland.

i'm 6 ft and weigh about 370. always been large. always will be.

i've heard ALL the fat jokes.

i personally don't see the "dumbest stuff" part.

are we large folks not allowed to have fun? should we just hide inside and let the beautiful people have the world?

i'm kinda offended by that posting.

i'll ride whatever i want where ever i want. don't laugh at me because i'll damn sure find something about you to laugh at. Lips Sealed

Sugerbear;

I want to offer a sincere apology to you. After reading your comments and trying to "walk in your shoes," I can clearly see your point.

I believe that the "dumbest stuff" is the title of one video. However, it does not matter. I made the choice to post it.

Nobody forced me to use its title or to post the videos for that matter. I also posted some other stupid embarrassing comments, which in hindsight
I can see how they can hurt other peoples' sensitivities. Embarrassed

I am really sorry and I hope you'll accept my apology.

Respectfully.

Good for you!

My observation after many years (but not quite so many as yours) is that humor based upon ridiculing others shows the smallness of an individual.

Of course, I have been known as a "wet blanket" and I'm not really a very big man.  Wink

Carl,
In my book you are a big man, but not in the ways some have described.
I am fat, but most teddy bears are.

Thanx for allowing a certain amount of a free exchange of ideas.
I'd venture to say that the "average" Valk owner is carrying a bit more baggage than their Dr. would like.
