What happened.    Administration delete a post of yours?   Or did they send you a PM saying that is a no no?

I've never heard of them being that strict, but Gunny has the power and he will use it if needed.

I'll ad this, I wouldn't have his job of monitoring this site for love nor $$$$, and I know he is not paid very well for those services.

you probably didn't make it "political" enough!!   Grin  i've seen religious and political posts not even mentioning motor cycles last for days on this site, while one regarding "harley having a liquid cooled V-twin engine" gets locked out for comments!!

truly bizarre!

Well the POBOB is an OMG (at least they WERE) so maybe admin thought it was best to just avoid discussion of such things altogether. But I don't think it was a bad question. I didn't see any responses though.

I didn't see the original post, I can't comment on what was wrong with it.

But, it wouldn't hurt my feelings any if they (site moderators) pulled the rug more often.

I strongly support the staff here and think they do a great job.  These guys are human though, and sometimes they are tighter with the rules than other times.  I'm OK with that.

I'm unwilling to set a precedent of offering explanations and opening discussions on removed posts.

I removed the post.  The reasons have already been stated by others.  No further discussion is warranted.
