during the last 12 YEARS Ive learned from my Grandkids

Ive learned that NOthing makes  for a better day than for a grandkid to let you watch their favorite cartoon with them sitting on your lap,or see the excitment in their eye when they catch their first fish,or to hear the laughter on christmas morning...but none of this can be beat by a pair of little arms hugging your neck and ''I love you papa'' along with it.--That is what makes it all worthwhile

When any of my grandkids come in the door they hit grandma 1st with a kiss and a I love you.

Then they look up grandpa, check out his whiskers, if clean shaved he gets a kiss, hug and I love you.

If I had a stubble, I get a kiss on the forehead and a I love you.

If I go shave, then I get the normal, kiss, hug and I love you Grandpa.

My youngest grand daughter will come over to me after all the excitement has settled down, crawl up on my lap, lay back onto my barrel belly and ask if we can watch cartoons please.     Damn, she has me wrapped around her little finger.   Love it and wouldn't have it any other way however.     Older one it is usually just a high 5 and love ya grandpa.    When they leave it is the same procedure.

Agree with both of you. No better pick-me-up than a hug from a grandchild. The great thing about their affection is it is sincere. I have four six year old grandsons and a two year old granddaughter who acts and talks like a six year old. When I am down one and one of these little ones comes around and gives me a big hug and a kiss and says I love you Papa, they steal my heart. And the greatest thing is when your done spoiling them rotten you send them home to mama and daddy!
