Hi,

Just managed to locate a spare centre stand, its a RIVCO one and in good condition, 2funny but unfortunately lacks both the spring and a small metal 'bump stop' piece with rubber on the end.... Shocked

I know this is a crazy question to ask, crazy2 but I don't suppose any of you good folks has such bits lying around anywhere they would like to turn into cold, hard cash?! Smiley

Cheers

The spring you can buy at an ACE hardware.   Forgot what the length of it is, and my Center stand has gone down the road to a new owner.

The rubber stop you can make out of a piece of door moulding.  It is a 1 1/2" square as I recall.

I had the same problem with the missing bumper when I bought my used one. I called RIVCO and they found one laying around and sent it to me. Might try asking them to look in some toolboxes.

Don't want to highjack the string but this would be under "RIVCO" parts--  I'm sure that I read here recently that someone had a couple of the RIVCO lift bars.  Doesn't anyone remember the string or who it might have been that had a pair of them??  Another member is looking to buy a pair for his newly acquired '98 Valk.

Hi,

I tried RIVCO but 'Stephanie' was a bit snooty and said they didn't have any left.... Cry

Shouldn't be hard to make something up - but if anyone has one....! Wink

Thanks HH

Thanks - yes I've tried valkyrie Bling - and that's where I got what I think was his last centre stand (at a pretty price I might add).

Bought the grab handles too - now just looking forward (NOT) uglystupid2 to the install!

PS Stephanie now says that RIVCO will not be making a run of centre stands this year... Sad

BOY OH BOY!  Rivco must reallllly be busy!  What with so many potential customers calling for one or more of their products (that have already been engineered, tested and hundreds sold) they are too busy to "run-off" a few?  I mean Jeez at their current profit margin (it's now a 100% higher priced item than when I bought mine!)!!  Maybe the "Man-at-the-top" is not aware of the situation??

Anyone tried to find out who that might be??

Yes, might be an idea to write directly to the CEO - Stephanie was about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. Sad

Still I paid the outrageous price (even second hand) because I plan on doing a lot of maintenance and stuff and I haven't got a lift.

It just seems to be the lot in life of motorcyclists to be ripped off, so I grins and bears it!

They are making a lot of stuff for the Yamaha series of bikes and a few things for the Harley.

Yeah, the CEO  knows of the problem with Steph.

He goes through gals on the phone, like some of ya go through rear tires.   But, I will give him credit, he is a nice guy to talk to.    cursed if I can think of his name now.

Just tuggled my memory, I think his name is Rich.

Just went and put Rivco.com in the address link of my browser.      There is a sheet load of people selling their parts.   Ya might spend some time on the phone and see if any one has some left over parts for the center stand.
