hi 2003 valkyrie started to miss at idel when pulling out seemes to be running on only a few cylenders. then pickes up and seems fine any idea what it could be. also on idle if i give it a little gas rps go up slowley  thanks and great site

Sounds like a case for some Techron. Would appear to have some restricted slow jets or bad fuel.
Has this bike sat for some time? Did it start after a refueling?

+1  Or try heavy doses of Sentry or Seafoam too.

As said, Techron or Seafoam. About a half bottle per tank.
Then ride it and try to stay in the 2300-3000 rpm range so the slow jets get the additive benefit.

I throw the whole bottle in.   Bottle contents that is.     Ride it around in the lower rpm's, then park it overnight and try it the next day.

One of those ingredients will clear her out normally.
