I recently purchased a 1999 I/S and would like to add LED's to the tour pack, front and rear turn signals. I already upgraded the Headlights to HID's.

Has anyone done this upgrade, and if so. What are the #'s for replacement LED bulbs, and were should i buy them from.

Thanks Paul

Can't answer your question, but Super Bright LEDs and Clear Alternatives have quite a few choices.  What did you do for your headlight?

Can youo be a bit more specific of what your trying to do with the LED's.
Visibility? Highlighting specific areas or items? Replace Factor standard bulbs? Add additional turn signals or running lights?
And at what locations are you thinking?

Inquiring minds want to know. Cheesy
I see you only have one "post" when I wrote this so I guess you might not have seen some of the others LED projects but here is mine, well I added turn and brake lights using LED's on my Interstate.
http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,21439.0.html

And the sections that show LED's are on page #2 about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down that page. What I did may not be your flavor but it just might give you somethings to think about for your bike. Start looking at what I did with the little plastic shields uner the Interstate fairing. (reply #59).

Enjoy and have fun, it's all up too you. cooldude

Sorry after reading your post about 6 times I finally understood what your looking for I think?
Direct replacements for the lights that are stock in the rear of the Interstate trunk and all 4 turn signal housings.

I was able to find direct replacement bulbs[1156 and 1157]
in red at Pep Boys. They also had them in white.

I've seen an article on replacing the trunk running and brake lights with leds but can't seem to find it.

I don't think those are nearly as bright as a standard 1156/57 would be.... if I recall.  I tried that on my VTX and it wasn't.  I know there are other, better, options out there tho.    I would love to find some brighter bulbs for the tour pak/trunk as well....   and will be keeping my eyes on this thread.

I did have a 50w Halogen bulb in my VTX tail light, and still have the bulb.  In the fender mounted tail light on the Valk I have a LED panel and it is very very bright.

Some of those direct replacement led's that mount in the bulb socket have a hard time fitting because of the depth of the socket in the fixture.

They just won't go far enough in to allow the thing to turn and lock in.

Another problem is replacing light bulbs with led's can/will affect your turn signal electronics in that the flash will not happen in the turn signal circuit.

And guess what?  Your link didn't have a thing do with changing the trunk lights in an I/S to leds.

Thanks Jess.  The Red Barber link was the one I was talking about.  I'm going to Thunder Beach tomorrow on my I/S.  Custom Dynamics is supposed to be there.  I'm going to talk with them and hopefully they'll have a solution that doesn't require the disassembly of the truck light pods.  I'll post what I find out.

I have all leds in the turn, brake and markers, if you cant find what you need let me know and Ill give you the info. As for the leds being bright they are brighter than the bulbs its all how you set them up and what type you use.

I didn't make it to Thunder Beach.  Had a piece of trash make it past my glasses and into my left eye while riding Saturday.  It was about 1/8" big.  Yesterday morning my eye was still bloodshot and weeping so I decided to stay home and let it heal.

On my Tourer I'm running led 1157s in the rear signals and they handle run and turn.  I've also got an led board in the taillight handling run and brake with a brake light modulator attached.  I tried using the rear turns for brakes but there were function problems with modulator.  Front run and turn signals are handled by Kury mirrors with led signals.  Instead of using load equalizers I installed a Custom Dynamics led compatible turn signal relay.
