I did ask this in the General Board didn't get too many responses, but I do appreciate the ones I did get. I know there used to be a LaMonster Supercharger kit for these beasts, but is it still available. The website I found doesn't have much information, nor does it have a buy me option. www.magnacharger.us is where I was looking, is there a different site I should be looking at, or are the kits just non-existant anymore? I am looking at next year to pick one up, if they happen to be still around. I appreciate the help, and as always keep the rubber side down, while your knees are in the breeze. Aloha, Mike "Valkrydrnhawaii"

contact one of the supercharged owners here. expect to pay $100-125 per hp plus some custom fab work. it would appear most spend between $3500 and $5000 to pick up 30hp.

While you're at it contact RM Enterprises for a belly tank. You're going to need the extra fuel capacity to feed that beast.

If ya'll is from Hawaii, where do you plan to use that extra Horsepower.
When I was over there the top speed limit I saw was 35, and that was on H-1.
I rode a Hardley all around the island of Oahu, and never found a road long enough or straight enought to open the Hog up.
Just curious here.

My dyno man reckons that, for about £1800 ($2600), he can fit twin Saab turbos and do the fabrication, pipework etc. to give up to 300 bhp.

Man, go for it. Then publish the dyno results. I'd really like to see that.

There are two downsides that I can see. 1) As each bank of cylinders would have its own turbo, everything must be matched up exactly or the crank will twist. 2) It would kill me. Or, rather, I would kill myself with its help.
He was fine tuning a turbo'd 'Busa today, road bike, 306 bhp at the back wheel.

My bike isn't supercharged, so I can only regurgitate what i've read on this board. As far as I know they are still available although I doubt they are selling any lately because of the inability to take out any timing. The dyna module is what was discontinued and so there is no feasible way to retard timing under boost. If you supercharge and keep the stock timing bad things will happen. You could maybe get away with stock timing if you ran 100+ octane all the time and kept the boost under 5-6 lbs, but thats only a maybe. I'd love to supercharge or even turbo if there was a way to keep the cost reasonable and keep the bike at least semi-reliable. My dyno man reckons that, for about £1800 ($2600), he can fit twin Saab turbos and do the fabrication, pipework etc. to give up to 300 bhp. Hell I'd fly my bike across the pond that.... I'm sure he means the tubos will support 300 h.p. Unfortunately our flat sixes won't, pistons, crank, rods would all have to be replaced/ugraded. 200 might be a realistic goal. Some on this board have gotten over 160 h.p. supercharging, but it required lots and lots of time and money.

I know of at least one supercharged Valkyrie that runs with a standard ignition module and always uses an octane booster to avoid detonation. I'm told that is costs an additional 30 cents per gallon, forever, but it's a solution for that missing Dyna 3000.

I am no mechanic or expert... but, I have heard good things about Bill, from magnacharger, and even mpg increase on the supercharger application using a Mikuni carb, different than the earlier setups. I even talked to Lamonster and confirmed that people have increased MPG to mid 30's (I say increased as I get 30 on a good day after 6to6 pipes and jetting the carbs). They also said that they have made some modifications to lower the operating temperature, and thus air, to reduce detonation and said premium gas from the pump is fine. again... I am not a professional... just really want to throw one on while we are remixing my valk (smaller finders, sissy bar, progressive rear shocks, +6 rake on the front, 200 series rear tire, redoing the seat and seating bracket, and much more...I would show our progress but don't know how to insert picture ) so I have done some snooping. Let me know if anyone has some first hand experience of functionality of the newer supercharger they are putting out, I have only heard good things! And if you are interested contact the company, Bill emailed me back quickly with info.

I've been mulling over supercharging or possible nitrous for awhile but, I'm gonna have to sell something first to keep from getting divorced I just bought a 200 tire for the rear as well. My old 180 looked like yours. Burnouts are soooo fun.....
