I've noticed that in many of our political... discussions... here and elsewhere, "us" and "them" seem to use different words for the same thing, or even worse, the same words that have different meanings. So, to help alleviate this problem, I have acquired this handy Liberal to Texan translation table. Hope it helps! LIBERAL TEXAS Arsenal of Weapons Gun Collection Delicate Wetlands Swamp Undocumented Worker Illegal Alien Cruelty-Free Materials Synthetic Fiber Assault and Battery Attitude Adjustment Heavily Armed Well-protected Narrow-minded Righteous Taxes or Your Fair Share Coerced Theft Commonsense Gun Control Gun Confiscation Plot Illegal Hazardous Explosives Fireworks or Stump Removal Non-viable Tissue Mass Unborn Baby Equal Access to Opportunity Socialism Multicultural Community High Crime Area Fairness or Social Progress Marxism Upper Class or "The Rich" Self-Employed Progressive, Change Big Government Scheme Homeless or Disadvantaged Bums or Welfare Leeches Sniper Rifle Scoped Deer Rifle Investment For the Future Higher Taxes Healthcare Reform Socialized Medicine Extremist, Judgmental, or Hater Conservative Truants Homeschoolers Victim or Oppressed Criminal or Lazy Good-For-Nothing High Capacity Magazine Standard Capacity Magazine Religious Zealot Church-going Reintroduced Wolves Sheep and Elk Killers Fair Trade Coffee Overpriced Yuppie Coffee Exploiters or "The Rich" Employed or Land Owner The Gun Lobby NRA Members Assault Weapon Semi-Auto (Grandpa's M1 Carbine) Fiscal Stimulus New Taxes and Higher Taxes Mandated Eco-Friendly Lighting Chinese Mercury-Laden Light Bulbs

It's funny but of all of the whacky bendings of reality that the creator of Spongebob Squarepants asks you to look the other way on (oceans within oceans for instance) the most unbelievable one might be that the smartest character on the show (Sandy Squirrel) is a Texan.

Hey bud, I just had to chuckle over your statement. Now just how would you know all that about Spongebob Squarepants?

Sheet fire Dixie, I have 2 great grand kids who live close and we babysit on Saturday pretty regular, and the youngest daughter lives pretty close now that her dick head ex-husband asked for a divorce, so he could marry a lawyer he met on a bicycle ride, week long one.
The day the decree was signed and the divorce was final, (1:44 PM), they were married by a Judge in the same court house at 2:25 PM.
I asked the daughter if she was pregnant, she didn't know, getting off topic here, the G-Gkids and her 2 lovely little daughters all like cartoons and Spongy is one of them.......... Moms drop them off and they head directly to the TV. They have done took over. So to get even, we feed them lots of Chocolate just before we take em home or the parents are to pick them up, Payback time we tell em.

Barney is the one children's show that I could never warm up to in any way. I even have fond memories of the Teletubbies. But not that frigging dinosaur.

BTW (lest anyone think otherwise) I like to bust on Texans but I really think they're good people. Texas might be one of the last states I'd choose to live in but it's still America and that's still one hell of a lot better than anywhere else.

*Sigh* Tell me about it... My oldest daughter had her first real paycheck at age 5 (I think that's when it was...) as a paid extra.... in an episode of Barney... BTW (lest anyone think otherwise) I like to bust on Texans but I really think they're good people. Texas might be one of the last states I'd choose to live in but it's still America and that's still one hell of a lot better than anywhere else. And don't sweat it, we're used to it... we've been taught to not make fun of the underprivileged, after all, not everyone can be a Texan! Pencil in a trip to Houston in April for HotGlue's annual BBQ, and we'll show you what REAL Texas hospitality is all about!
