I recently went against the grain and ordered a 6391CH Pingle instead of the traditional 1311CH that so many are using. Why? Four reasons:
The 6391 has its outlet facing down. This makes is much easier to attach and detach the fuel line when the tank is in place. And since the outlet is downward it really easy to push on and pull off because there's plenty of room and you can easily see what you're doing without being quite the contortionist. Also, the fuel line can have a generous loop in it and this eliminates the critical need to have just the right length of fuel line how to avoid kinking (see my note).
The second reason is that the selector lever can face to the key side instead of the traditional left side. My hand is always going down to the key and it's really convenient to just rotate the valve at nearly the same time with the same hand. The lever is just behind the wiring harness the runs along the frame but I don't have any trouble finding it there; but a potential thief will!
The third reason is the orientation of the lever positions makes more sense to my pea brain. The Lever moves forward for "On" and backward for "Off" The lever is in the middle for reserve as usual for a Pingle.
Fourth, the petcock can be oriented with the lever facing the left if you want. This moves the outlet to the right but the fuel line can still be accessed from the key side of the bike. This reverses the lever orientation logic but we've all become used to that.

Note: I use MotionPro fuel line for years and really, really like it a lot. It really resists kinking and is very flexible and remains flexible seemingly forever. You can see it here:
http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/12-0055/. It stretches easily over the petcock and makes putting it on and off really easy. But, you still need at least a very light fuel line clamp or it will eventually leak - don't ask. I have been using a very light, spring wire clamp and I can pull the hose off and push it on without messing with the clamp at all - and no leaks.
