Kind of a strange day. Sitting in a tree most of the day watching for deer while hearing the nearly continuous thunder of motorcycles enjoying the warm weather a mile or so away on highway 47.
If I was riding I would have been thinking about deer hunting.

Man, only one life to devote to the things I love. Snow would make it easier.
All the while my tree-stand was in the middle of some kind of "red ant" interstate on that tree. They never bit me but I sure got tired of them all over me, my tree-stand, bow and pack. They even got inside my camo face mask. I came down an hour before dark and moved my stand.
Didn't see any deer today although my deer cam had photoed daytime deer there two or three times a week. I had a boatload of nearly black "grey squirrels" around me all day though. Thought hard about popping one with a judo point for dinner but in a climbing stand it's a pain to get down just to clean a bushy-tail.
Will probably have to ride tomorrow.
