Scenic, S.D. - There was talk on an earlier post a while ago about this town being up for sale and how VRCC should buy it - here's an update

Hmmmm...Not sure how to take it. Not that I dont like churches but.... Hope it does turn the town around. We stopped there this year and bought some stuff at the trading post as it was the only thing open. It was dead. Everyone that stopped was really surprised nothing was open. It was a stop for thousands during the rally. Guess we will find out next year.

I loved the Phillipines when I was there. All you sailors have the wrong smirk on.
I always got on fine with the locals. Once outta the Subic/OPO circus the folks were like everybody else. I hired a jeepne to take a friend and myself along the Bataan Death March trail.
The folks were wonderful.   .02

Personally I don't think the locals in South Dakota would put up with any kind of bull sh*t if the church folks are thinking of coming in there with some kind of cult ideas.

Some of the comments in the Rapid City Journal seem favorable. Seems they are going to make it a town again. Either way I look forward to drinking a cold one in the saloon on my way out again.

That would be awesome if they bring the town back .... the Black hills are prolly my favorite place to ride. The people and native culture are truly unique.
