Velocity Stacks install
1st dont send me BigBF link i know all about the link and i also know how to install ...my questions is why is the front of tank raised and NOT the rear of the tank ???

If you want to maintain the lines of the bike I guess you should raise both the front and the rear, but then the seat may not fit, but then again that can be fixed too

the reason im askin is i bought some V stacks the person is sending the spacer and he said ti raise the rear its better ...  but every install ive read say raise the front now this guy say raise the rear
Im sure ill figure it out   i was jus wondering out loud here

It would be my guess that it would have something to do with he figured that you would have to go to reserve sooner and by raising the rear of the tank it moves the gas to the front of the tank instead (when almost empty). I would think by raising the front of the tank you don't have to raise it as far to get the clearance needed. Just my .02 worth.

Not sure if you saw the Shop Talk article I put up a little while back but it has a picture of the stack clearance with the spacer in front as well a method to put the tank back in contact with the frame. Some say that raising the front allows better air flow to the intake.
