If you cant get what you think its worth and then trade it into a steeler for way way less....and cars also...I just dont get it...if thats what you decided to do after trying for a more premium price,,, why not just sell it for the trade in price to someone who is genuinely intrested it that particular vehicle??  I know a lot of peole just dont sell things ,,they just take it back to where they bought it and get a new model...What im talking about are people that say...well its been for sale for a xxxdays now and no one wants it so im just trading it in (for half of what they are asking).... Angry   rant over....lets ride....as dfg says the turbine like power machine that last forever.....

1) It's easier.
2) You reduce the taxes you pay for the purchase.
3) Once traded-in, it never comes back to bite you in the arse.

I understand why but personally have never traded a motorcycle in.  Always sold outright.

But on cars, I almost always trade in because the car is so worn out and beat up that I get more on the trade than I could sell it for.
