Hollyday and I are planning on going to lunch at the Green Frog Resuraunt in Jacksboro this Saturday (she should be riding hers).  Anyone else who wants to go is more than welcome.

I plan on KSU in Denton at the Shell station on the NW corner of 380 and 35 at 10am.  It should be around 130 miles round trip to and from that station, about 3 hours ride time making a circle around Lake Bridgeport.

Howdy everyone... I live in Jacksboro.

The frog is decent food.  They have a buffet at lunch time that a lot of people like.   The Dairyland on the other end of town is also good, not a buffet, but they do have decent bbq and a full menu.

If you get a chance to ride hiway 4, do so.  It is a good run from I 20 all they way to Jacksboro.  Hiway 59 towards Bowie is also decent, and there are cutoffs on 59 back to the metroplex/Denton, such as through Chico-Bridgeport, etc.

I will be fairly well tied up Saturday.  I have a wedding to go to Saturday at 2:00.  If I get a chance, I will drop by for a minute if you head this way.

See ya,

Craig

Just got back in tha house. It was good seeing you Randy and Liz in Jacksboro today   cooldude . Liz picked a beautiful day to ride her Shadow. Dublin bikes had 265 (s)miles round trip. We took Fm4 North and ended up at Fort Belknap. It's the fort fault     Evil     that we showed up 20 late. I have to make another trip out there and spend a lot more time at fort Belknap. BTW Rick thanks for lunch.  cooldude

Looks like a good time was had.  I was stuck doing pre wedding junk all day Saturday and a rehearsal Friday nite.

It was a good wedding, BACA was represented in respect for the bride, who is a BACA member.  I was the best man, and did my best to keep them distracted.  Its amazing what a few kegs of beer will do for creativity.   The wedding officiant/pastor was a Willie Nelson double.  I called him Willie all through the mess.   You should have seen the look on their faces when I held out some plastic rings instead of their wedding rings that where tied on the pillow!

I hope you get a chance to ride back through Jacksboro.  There is some good riding near hear.  Ft. Belknap (near Graham/Newcastle)  is a well kept secret.  And our Fort Richardson makes a great place to camp.

----

I did ride across the Royal Gorge on the bike a few years ago, and took the family back up there this summer.  It is a neat place, but a bit expensive if you just want a ride across.   That is great riding country up there...just head west toward Monarch Pass and then on to Gunnison and when you get to Ouray on the far western side, it is paradise!!!!

see ya'll
