you leave the chrome in the closet...??? that sounds wrong on a few differant levels,,,but my chrome valve covers are wrapped up and stowed, along with soon to be timming belt cover,a good member on the national board contacted through a wanted post that he had one ,good shape off a wreck/part out job,,will have them all matching this winter ..think ill recoat the valve covers the same time with some new high temp black powder krinckle coat... houdini, Is that paint or powder coat? I'm assuming those are goldwing valve covers.  Were they a direct bolt on?

Powder coat on everything except the valve covers, I did those first and used rattle cans of high-heat primer and header paint.  They will be getting powder coated as soon as I figure out what else I want to black-out.

Yes they are.  They are a direct fit but you have to get the Goldwing bolts, they are longer.

Any year of 1500 GW will fit.  Go look at the GW fiche and find the style and color of insert (chrome or gold) you like and then start shopping eBay.
