Wow. That sucks.  Angry  Not that I was planing on going to Commifornia, but definitly not now.
They already have to have the gun unloaded to carry.
Love reading the comments in the article.

"By prohibiting the open carry of guns, we can now take our families to the park or out to eat without the worry of getting shot by some untrained, unscreened, self-appointed vigilante," Dallas Stout, president of the California chapters of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said in a statement.


"Main Street California is not the Old West, and you don't need a gun to buy a cheeseburger," Portantino said.


Glad I live in a gun friendly State. No permits here, just a lic to carry a handgun (LTCH). I'm a pro open carry and do so every day  cooldude

Apparently they would rather be shot and robbed by some drugged out illegal immigrant  gang banger and self appointed 3 time felon . In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if California has a program to train and screen felons to improve their ability to shoot and rob.

The issue is "open carry". Those statements may be media bites, but they surely make sense.
