So I just got back from a vacation where I put about 1900 miles on the Valk.  About 1500 or so of those miles were hard Interstate (80 mph indicated... about 75-77 on the GPS).

The funny part is that after about 500 - 600 miles, the bike began to feel smoother.  I though it was maybe the elevation change... but it still feels smoother now that I'm back home.

Am I just imagining things???

Or is it possible that hours of 3500 to 4000 RPM riding actually cleared out some crud from my carbs????

Has anyone else noticed anything like this before?

70+ is where this old girls game is. Did a trip to indianapolis earlier this year at 80+ and she never even flinched.  The hardly guys were bitchin about pushing it, but I never noticed We were doing 80

Yeah... she's always liked 75 and 80...  cooldude

But it seems to have even smoothed out at lower RPMs... ALL RPMs...

Or am I just bonkers???   uglystupid2

Either I knocked some gunk out of the carbs, or I'm imagining things...  Grin

Maybe you got better/more fresh gas then you get at home?  I have a minor miss and some loping between 1800-2400 rpm.  It tends to come and go.  It appears to be gas related.
