I was looking in a small group of items the PO sent when I got my '97 tourer about 1 1/2 year ago. Was out in a drawer in garage. I'm know I should be able to identify this cable as a simple replacement, but what is it?? L-shaped metal piece on one end and circular metal on the other. I know someone will recognize it instantly and I will feel stupid, but been there before. thanks!

it is a muffler bearing replacement cable, it hooks up to the thingmajig on one end and the hoosiewhatsit on the other end. I do not think it is for a Valkyrie but if it is let me know what it is.

Russell i looked on the thingamajig and didn't see a similar cable. Could it be something for the lawnmower??

It looks like a computer/laptop computer anti-theft cable to me. No jock. It's missing a pieces. Does the bent end have a hole in it, some way that it can be fasten/locked to something else. The cable goes through the loop, like around a table leg.

It looks a lot like that connector from the flapper ball to the flush handle.
Must be from a Goldwing.

It's a cable off a bolt- Lock security lock, I have one on my Valk and 1800 Wing, they work great. Different length cables for locking different items.

Thanks all. After seeing that post Ricky, I have been searching high and low for that part as I know it is not on my bike and am afraid of catastrophic failure. Now I am sure it must have been attached to the bike with this cable and somehow fallen off.

I would say that "Valk pilot" is closest to right. However my thought is that it looks alot like the ground cable for my CB!!

I looked at video in the ad listed by Valk pilot and think he is EXACTLY right. This cable is the exact same thing shown in the video. Also if you click on the "BUY" button in the ad it shows the exact cable in different lengths. The previous owner just did not enclose the small locking mechanism that the L-shaped end goes into. Mystery solved!! Been wondering about that cable for a while. I would say that "Valk pilot" is closest to right. However my thought is that it looks alot like the ground cable for my CB!!
