BJ and I are going down to Galveston this evening for dinner on the bike. We will leave Pearland around 4 pm.  We are thinking about eating at our favorite place The Spot, but are open for suggestions.
We have always wanted to try the "Original Mexican Resturaunt", but don't know their hours.

Please respond with your thoughts.

It's just too nice of a day to sit at home.

Nowhere expensive, just an excuse to take a leisurely ride to Galveston.

Same excuse as Ms Dorrough, would've loved to eat anywhere in Galveston today. Wife in California, visiting friend for friend's birthday. Home alone and hungry. Is it too late for buttered pecan ice cream?

Lyn-Del

Sorry we missed you.  We didn't leave till about 5:30.  We would have been honored to ride with you on your birthday!

Red Diamond,

Your wife went to Cali without you?  Bad girl!  Wish you would have been able to join us for a QUICK ride to Galveston.  Don't you know it is never to late for Blue Bell, and you can never be to full. Smiley

FB,

We really liked the food.  It seems we always ride by AFTER we eat on our way to the Strand.  I'm glad Jim remembered before.  We will definately be going back.  Nothing fancy and we got in and out fast.
Hay is getting his beauty rest right now, but I am sure he will be up for going somewhere after the Texans game.  I may have to twist his arm a bit, Not!

Wish all of you could have made it. It was a beautiful night and the beaches were still packed when we got there.  I am so happy to see that Galveston has recovered after Ike.

Actually, it was my suggestion that she go, I had some work to do or not do and I didn't want anyone telling what to do first or second or last. So, I have been busy turning dollars into gas
fumes. I'll deal with the "why didn't you do this or that" when I pick her up at the airport on
Monday evening, you know, beg for forgiveness, not for permission.

Sorry we couldn't join you either.  We were too busy watching Shelley play hockey during intermission at the Aeros' game last night.
[Yes, that's an unashamed, unrelated, unrelenting parenthood brag moment.  It was really fun, though.]
