I'm hoping it's not too late in the year, anyways... I'm in south Ga and I'm thinking about riding to Cherokee, NC and picking up the Blue Ridge Parkway. From there it's all the way to Front Royal VA where I'll turn around and retrace my path back home.

I try to do the BRP) at least once a year and missed it last year. This ride would make up for last year and take care of this year. I*'m hoping there aren't too many detours on the parkway.

This will be my first BRP ride on a Valk.

Sounds awesome to me.

Sounds like a great ride!  We were up there earlier this summer and didn't find much construction.  Should be beautiful if the leaves are still left on any trees....ENJOY!   Ride safe cooldude

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

Fritz,

Its not too late, we were up on the Skyline last weekend and are heading up tomorrow as well as Next Saturday doing the VA FCR, which is also on Skyline Drive, the colors this year are better (way) better than last year. cooldude
In my opinion dont think about it just go, enjoy the ride, if you think to long you will be saying damn I wish I would have.

Enjoy your ride. cooldude

Let me know when you plan to Ride the VA section of the BRP and the Skyline Drive, If I'm off from work I'll be glad to share some wind with you.

BTW several of us are planning to meet up in Front Royal on SAT OCT 22nd and ride south on the Skyline Dr, if that fits into your plans you are welcome to join us.

Don't wait, just do it.  Was down there from VA and back last month.  Will be on Skyline next weekend as well.  Great roads and sights all along the route we took.
