On the 12th lap of today's Indycar Race, there was a major wreck involving 15 of the 34 cars. Dan Wheldon did not survive his injuries. To Indycar's credit the cancelled the race and the drivers drove a 5 lap salute to their friend and colleague.

I was watching it live. I became very concerned when they put a yellow tarp over his car after he was flown out. I feel I knew then. Too sad for him and his family.

When I saw the tarp on the car I knew. Just didn't know who till they announced whose car it was.
