to do.....my 2 yr Verizon contract was up last month and they MADE me upgrade my phone.... ...I ended up buying something that I hadn't originally intended to, but it's the most like my old phone the LG ENv(but it's better in some ways).....I have an LG Voyager phone now....it's similar in function to the old one, but has some new features I like better....on the negative side, looks like I can't look at .jpg pics in my emails anymore so Fudgie, sorry Brother, now I can't see the "Inspirational" pics of the Ladies anymore... .... ...and I also had to upgrade to a different voice plan, but now web browsing will cost $1.99/MB....I only used the Web to look at the Weather channel anyways since trying to look at the forums from the old phone was time consuming($$)....Old well, like they say, it's HARD to teach an Old Dog a new trick...looks like I have some studying to do...

when I got my new phone.... I didn't even want a camera......TEXT???? I don't think so.... If ya wanna talk to me Call ME....... don't wanna have ta dig out my glasses.... try to hit the right number SEVERAL times to git the right letter... Bahhhhh.  But I'm Ole School.....
If ya EVER see me with one of those silver roaches stuck in my ear so I can talk on the phone...... Just Shoot me.... my life is over.... don't EVER wanna be that connected..

I got a new phone last month.  Actually my 2 years was up by about 18 months.   Got a new phone cause I wanted the Bluetooth option.....

Needed the BT option for the Courtesy Van I drive.  We take all of our incoming calls for pickup.   The customer deals with us instead of the dealership.   Works great except when they would call and you were on the I/State running about 75 and 1 hand to write with....  This way with the BT, I use 1 finger to answer, put my hand back on the steering wheel and talk.   Tell them where I'm at and I'll call them back as soon as I exit the freeway or get pulled off the roadway someplace.

We tried a tape recorder for awhile, was great as long as the damn thing picked up all the information, especially the phone #..   Had a few get PO'ed cause we never called them back.

I had them kill the TEXT, Voice mail and Internet service on this phone.  They bitched and hollered at 1st.  Told em fine, take the new phone and the service and shove it where the sun no shine since I hadn't signed a contract yet and mine had expired.  They talked and we Got-R-Done as I requested, so tell em ya no want that extra stuff.........

Why did they make you change plans?   I'm on my original plan from whne I 1st got the phone, way back when, oh, my plan is no longer available if ya ever let it drop or change.....   They suggested I change, asked them what they had equivalent to my current plan.  They said well we got this but you'd lose this and I said nope, I'll keep what I have.

blue tooth thingy in my ear....hell, I was one of the LAST folks EVER to get a cell phone because I DID NOT want to be bothered unless I was the one making a call to WHO I wanted to talk to, but I was in the grocery store one day and wasn't sure if we had a particular item at home and needed to ask the Wife if we had it or not...that was about 4-5 yrs ago?.....Anyways, this new phone is similar enough to the old one to make it easy to pick up on.....I do like to be able to check my email while I'm out and about and on the motorcycle trips without having to take my laptop with me...and the main reason I wanted Web on it is to check the waether radar when I'm on the bike....my bill only supposedly went up by $10/month and I got 200 extra minutes....not a bad deal......

One of my pet peeves though is ppl who are so cursed rude that they won't even get off the phone long enough to order their food at a restaurant....stupid girl yesterday in the line in front of me never quit talking the whole time she was ordering.....I call some of these kids these days the "Totally Lost Generation" on manners and general courtesy....

I have been know to walk up to someone and tell em to hang that F**kin phone up, NOW.

Was eating dinner one night in a nice restaurant, and at the table next to us was a lady and her boyfriend.    In 30 minutes that phone rang 5 times and she chatted for a few and would hang up.

I asked her if she would shut it off as it was distracting.  She told me to go get F**ked.

The Manager of the place walked up and told her to turn it off or walk.  She walked, her boyfriend waited till his food came and then walked.......

places that now sport signs saying to turn cell phones off or not to use them in their offices/lobbies....some ppl just don't have any regard for others and could care less that they are rude and annoying as hell to others around them.....

But then I thought about it, what's worse, an idiot yakking on his cell phone trying to run me over, or an idiot who's call just got dropped fiddling with his phone trying to figure it out and running me over, so I decided to not do it...

Biggest reason I haven't is because I'd be worried it'd block someone trying to make a legitimate 911 call or something along those lines...
