I was walking back to the garage last week and a gust of wind  blew me off balance,  I tripped on the step and fell, left forearm a little "road rash" , twisted my right knee, nothing broken, so  I'm glad of that..

However,  when you're my age (or RJ's), and have arthritis in both knees,  it takes awhile.  The knee is still swollen and more painful than normal and I can't bend it much yet.  Ice packs and Nsaids are helping but it's slow.  I thought about riding standing up but gave up that idea. Grin

Wayne, there will more beautiful days - just relax with a good book, sit in the sun and enjoy your day.
Better yet - ask Millie over to enjoy the day with you!
Hope you feel better soon.

After InZane I did some traveling via the bike, ending up back in Columbus, OH where my wife was staying with her sis. Shortly after, I headed up into Michigan with the car, taking the ferry across to Wis. to see my daughter in the Green Bay area. On the way back I used interstates mostly, but just east of Gary I dropped south to US 30 and took that all the way into Ohio to a point west of Mansfield. That route took me right through your neck of the woods. The only reason I went that way was because I had to go by a "nephew-in-law's" (if that's a real term??) to pick up my bike hauling trailer. I definately was not in a hurry and could have stopped for a time, I'll have to keep that in mind for future travels that take me down #30. That sure was a busy hiway, kinda glad I was in the car.

Wayne, ya'll is kind of like me now.

I'm not fully trusting my new bionic knee, and I'm not venturing too far from home on MGM just yet.....

For some reason my balance isn't there fully.

I suppose I have an excuse for that.

Knee replacement is basically a leg amputation, and then putting on a non removable prosthetic limb, with a new hinge.

RJ,

I hear you about the knee..I had my right knee replaced in December of 05..It took a whole
to get the balance thing right enough. I had to wait 4 1/2 months before I rode my first Valkyrie.
I had bought it in Feb of 06 and trailered it back from Cincinatti. And I waited and waited..
Lots of rehab was the ticket.

The wait was surely worth it ! javascript:void(0);

Mine got chopped off Dec 9,2008.

I have been on MGM about a dozen times so far,  BUT, sticking close to home in case I dump it.  That way I can get help from my son to stand him up again....

Yeah, yeah, I know others will help, but a lot of them just drive on by.
