They were swarming over here too.  I sprayed down and sprayed some of that skeeter spray you hook to a water hose.  It seemed to help, but you would need a 55 gal drum of the stuff for all the land you have.

Stay the course brother!

We have the trucks come through spraying the neighborhood, but still everytime we go out to the car, even that short of a time outside, the baby gets two new bites on her head, and we kill six mosquitos inside the car after we get sealed up inside again.

Definitely looking for a report from Hay about the spray he used.

For the spray trucks to do us any good.... we would have to have a North or West wind...otherwise the spray never gets to us.... but it does help the folks in the next county....  we are right inside Brazoria county....Across the road is Galveston County.
Been inside most of today... I can only stand so much of the repelant...  Went out a little bit ago and was SWARMED!!! My shirt and jeans were black and fuzzy with skeeters... Guess I will just have to pray for a Killer Freeze!!!!!!  or keep sprayin down.

The spray I used was by Cutter.  It has a hose connection and worked pretty good.  I actually sat outside last evening and wipes the bugs off the front of the bike without getting bitten.  I don't know how long it lasts, because there were quite a few attackers when I got home tonight.

Went to the deer lease today exspecting the skeeters to be bad but they were not any there. I had two cans of spray and was thinking I'ld need at least one.
Have you tried the new thermo skeeter repellents that hook on your belt some of the guys at the lease last year said that they worked great. I haven't tried them yet but if they get bad I'll spring for one real quick.

What are y'all taking about? skeeters?  2funny 2funny
Eat outside last night at about 7:30 pm and not a skeeter in sight. It is still to dry for them in Dublin. I don't think we even have any repellent around the house, of course I will have to confirm that with the spousal unit.

Barn and Stable from the feed store... It goes in your fogger and really does work. We used to have big 4th of July parties and it was the only thing that would get rid of em'. Go out in the early morning the day before and no more  skeeters.

I'm to the point of wanting to try one of those industrial CO2 units that can clear 10 acres.  The #$%@! tiger mosquitoes have just about rendered outdoor activity impossible in my subdivision.  Native mosquitoes?  Can't remember the last time I was bitten by one, and I *barely* remember hearing one buzz by me a few years ago...  Frelling tiger mosquitoes have pretty much taken over completely in my part of San Antonio.

As far as repellents, nothing better than Avon "Skin So Soft".  Put the lotion in a small mister, spray around the garage door and on exposed flesh, and you've got yourself a mosquito-free work area.  Plus, you don't have to worry about making yourself sick with what you're spraying on yourself.

So (you ask), if the repellent is so #$%@! good, why d'ya want to spend a small fortune on a propane-powered mosquito trap?  Answer: I *really* like killing mosquitoes, and frankly, I'd just as soon not have to reek of Avon (which is about the only downside to using it) cooldude.
