I've been spending way too much time checking this and fixing that on my new-to-me Valk so when my brother said, "come on, let's ride somewhere today," I was jumping double time! What with different work schedules, we don't get the chance to ride together much but today we pulled it off, and the weather was perfect for it.
We decided to go cruise around and get lost on some East Tennessee back roads. I always enjoy the scenery in the "State of Franklin." TN351 and other similar "farm to market" routes in the area are splendid motorcycling roads.

Didn't take a lot of pics but here's a couple.
Enormous field of soybeans (I think) with the Blue Ridge as a backdrop...

Somewhere on 19E, I believe, which we rode back east to NC226, a really steep, tight switchback road that drops off the east side of the Blue Ridge. Notice that many of the leaves are down. Winter's coming!

Altogether a bit over 200 miles today and only one issue with my bike, and naturally it was something I had neglected to check: the battery connections.  Roll Eyes We had stopped for gas and when I pushed the start button... nothing; no lights, nada. The PO or whoever had failed to tighten the ground connection and it had just about rattled off the battery post. Thankfully it was an easy fix.
Altogether, I'm really liking this bike. I can't believe how smooth it is and how well it handles for such a big, powerful hoss. Looks like a keeper.

Just when the highway straightened out for a mile
And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode
Don't you know...

Conform, go crazy, or ride a motorcycle...
