Am looking into buying new soft bags for the lady. The ones the PO put on when he bought her new in 99 are DONE Is anyone here using saddlemen bags? If so hows the quality? Are you happy with them?  I like the looks of their express cruisn slant line. their chart says extra jumbo for the Lady.

OL has had a pair of Saddlemen throw-overs on her Magna for years.  She had Saddlemen throw-overs on my Shadow VLX when she was riding that. She's had good service out of both.

In both cases we altered the yoke to accommodate fender and seat brackets and mounted them under the seat.

I had the Saddlemen Drifter Jumbo Slant bags on my Valk for awhile.  I never liked how they hung...always sloped to the back. Plus, even though they were "jumbo", they always looked small on the Valk.  And the back walls of the bags, which are plastic, cracked at the mounting holes twice...one time almost completely falling off the bike or worse, getting caught in the rear wheel and causing an accident.  Both times, it was the left bag that cracked.  To Saddlemen's credit, they replaced the bags both times with a completely new set (both bags) each time even though they were far out of warranty.  The 3rd set of bags, I sold as brand new without even removing them from the box since I was pretty close to having my homemade fiberglass bags done.
