Yesterday, got out the I/S to go and coordinate a big gig we had for the business in Keller, get a car battery tested, go to the toxic dump to get rid of used oil and dead CFL bulbs, etc.  Turned off of my street to go south on Cooper next to Rolling Hills Country Club.  At the intersection of Lamar and Cooper, got the traffic light.  So I sat there for a minute, then light turns green and....

oooomph. WTH?  The bike acts like it's stuck in tar.   tickedoff

So gave it more gas and then it jumped sideways and then went forward with a jerk (the motion, not me).  I looked in the mirror to see if I'd run over something  and saw a golf ball rolling down the street behind me.  Apparently, while I was sitting at the light, an errant shot had sent a golf ball into the street and it had rolled under my bike and in front of the rear tire. The car tire went up on top, moved sideways and then shot the ball down the street, tire finally hitting the pavement and giving the quick start.

Really strange.

The toxic dump was a trip. I pull in and you're not supposed to exit your "car", so now they have to figure out how to open the trunk.  I tell them and they pull out 3 gallons of oil, three used oil filters and the CFL bulbs.  I told them to just put the lid down and I'd close it when I left.  Had people gathering around and asking what kind of Harley it was, so had to tell them it's a Honda, 6 cyl, goldwing motor, etc.

The Bosch car battery had a bad cell but had a 36 month free replacement warranty (it was 30 months old), so got a new battery for nothing.

Beautiful day to ride so very happy I left the car at home for all my stuff. cooldude cooldude

AND, it was a great day for a ride.  If no car tire, the golf ball incident might have finished differently.  Smiley

Glad you got to get out and ride.
