Finally I have something to report, mostly photos.  It was a little chilly in Northern Ca. but It was tee shirt weather out there almost the entire rest of the time.  I was stopped on the road with a bunch of other people for a flagger for 1/2 hour near Goldfield Nv., it was hot and I took my helmet off then decided to put it on after following the pilot car at 15 mph for 5 miles and of course there was a state patrol cop at the other end, thank god he had a scene of humor. When I started to pack the bike for the last day in Susanville Ca. it was coated with ice at 7 A.M., put on the full face and wired up, it was like sitting in front of the fire place. I did have the best Lasagna I've had in many a years at the Montego Bay Casio in West Wendover, $13.00. I also saw regular gas for 3.38 cash price in Pahrump Nv. It was around $4.00 in Tonopah.  This ride web site is a free flash based site, I did the best as not all the tools are turned on for the free version.

I'd love to plan a trip out west.  Flying over it is interesting, but just not the same.

My daughter went to U.N.M. for her masters degree.  I have ridden to Albuquerque almost every way possible from Seattle. I love it there.

You look like you had a great trip. I've been to many of the areas by car. Don't know if it's in the cards, but I'd like to make the trip either by M/C or classic car.

This report was a tremendous amount of work, especially when you look at the photos with the captions, together with the geo references.  cooldude

Thanks for taking the time and sharing with us. Too bad that not more of the folks have looked or commented on the effort you put out. Sad

Thank you. That looks like a great trip. Death Valley is beautiful. Basicly right in my backyard. Can I ask you what camera you were using? You and your camera took some amazing photos.  BTW, those photos will be great took look at on a cold winter day.

Thanks for your comment. My camera, a Nikon-D7000 SLR. The photos were processed using "Aperture", a MAC program.

Great ride report and pictures...  Took you a great deal of time!  Don't know, but it looked like it was "desert hot" for most of those pictures.

Thanks!

Your ride report was very complete. You deserve a special catagory because you included a map and hwys you traveled. Anyone wanting to make that ride, certainly can follow you report.
