I had to miss the Wrench Party last week but Wizard, Early Bird and Lynn-Dell were willing to help me out this weekend with the install.  Since Saterday I've managed to put on just over 200 miles on the Altimax HP 205-60 (38 psi to start) and could not be happier Cheesy.

It was just under 50 miles back from Lynn-Dell's - all on expressway - with no suprises.  I did just over 150 today on the back roads between Baytown and Oak Island.  I saw asphalt (smooth and broken), conrcrete, pothole, patches, grooves and even about 3 miles of gravel (GPS was in Back-Road Mode tickedoff).  Posted Speeds were from 25 to 65 - one nice straight section of "Route 60-Something" - I had to stretch the Lady's legs and took it up over the $1.00  mark for a few  Evil.  Found nothing that you would call a "twistie" but a few really nice sweeper were scattered about.  Saw just about everything but rain.  The Lady handeled great under all conditions.

Its was a little different feel the first time out but by the end of today - I wasn't thinking about it, just having a great time.  As stated so often on other threads, "it may not be for everybody" and that cool  Cool ...but I'm sold.

Thanks again to Wizard and Early Bird for the help with the tire swap cooldude.  A a big THANK YOU to Lyn-Dell for the coaching prior to my first flight cooldude.

I don't know where the cookies are  Shocked. After about 55k on the darkside I am getting used to it also.  Cheesy

Did you get to try out the different seat/tank combo's? I read somewhere that Wizard had both options available. Just curious.

After the tire swap - We fit my seat to a 0ne of Wizard's STD's fitted with an IS tank.  No fitment issue.  I also got a post from MP who has a STD - fitted with an IS tank - running a RDL seat, just the set up I'm looking at.  He advise is to go for it - no mods required and no clearence issues.

Now my only concern is butt warmer or no butt warmer?  Cheesy

I bought my Valk in March 2011 and went Darkside within the first two weeks of ownership. I love it!  Cheesy

Earlier this week I acquired a 2002 VTX 1800. I already have the C/T. Will get it installed on Saturday. Cheesy cooldude
