LEG CRAMPS

I have an issue with my legs cramping up really bad after about 10 miles due to the pegs being right below my ass Any one have that problem? I had worse problem with Goldwing because the seat is made for two up and has less rear room pushing you forward thus thus putting your feet almost right under your tail bone. The valkyrie standard sits back about 2 inches further . ANY IDEAS I'd hate to have to sell this after I just bought it. The other bikes I've owned had forward floorboards. Tried floorboards on goldwing but made it worse because if you wear riding type shoes or boots the heal doesn't hang over back of peg making you cramp up even worse. I have very short legs 27" inseam and sitting on bike I have good control my feet aren't flat but with thick soled and heal boots no problem HELP I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!!!!!!!! Oh I'm 54 an diabetic part of the problem but I need controls more forward or something to that effect.

You've got several possible ways to help, but your problem is not yours alone. There are guys way over 6 feet that ride the Valk, and make it work for them. Mick-O-Pegs are one item. RattleBars peg lowering kit, if you can find one. Forward controls are an option as well. Russell Day Long seats will make a seat for you that sits you up and farther back, though that reduces the room for the back seater if there is one. Check out all your options before you sell the best bike you can own

I totally agree with it being uncomfortable. What I did was contacted one of this sites sponsors, XF6. He sells forward floorboards that replaces the engine guards. They have given me unlimited foot placement while riding. They install fairly easily and are worth every penny.
I've probably ridden 20,000 miles with them and haven't looked back. I have also dropped my bike and they protect the bike very well.

BIG G;
I had the same problem with the Valk. The pain was unbearable while riding . This was my only solution.

BEWARE, after you install them, take the adjustment tools with you. They mount on the crash bars and they can be set up in multiple positions.
Keep repositioning them until you find the best adjustment for you... BTW, their quality and manufacturing is superb!
I just acquired a VTX 1800. I am having the same problem.
So, I just purchased another set for the "new" bike.
Good luck.

FWIW, cramping can be caused by a lack of potassium in your diet.

I had a similar problem and made three modifications which really help. Cobra floorboards which allow you flexibility with foot positions. Ultimate King seat which is an inch taller and 2 inches longer than stock, and I have the rider backrest with it. And kuryakyn highway pegs. These three things really help me.

I got off of my chlorlesteral medicine thanks to advice I got at InZane this year, but this is my real solution to the pain, plus my knee can't take the spread as much anymore. ----- it will arrive next Monday.

At 6'5" I feel your pain. Here is what works for me.
Ultimate King Big Boy, Highway pegs way out on the crash bars, lowered pegs, yoga, non smoker.
I have no cramping issues?
Well occasionally, between the ears!
Oh, and that wife "thing".
