between 8 and 12 inches depending on where in the yard Wet heavy snow broke a gazillion trees in the area and we had no power from around 2pm or so till the same time today We were lucky Had about a dozen limbs fall off the neighbors tree into our above ground pool which has a winter cover but pierced it big time. Actually I have 2 covers the old one with its holes strung out over the new one. I will have to wait for spring to see if the vinyl liner was damaged Its only in its 2nd season Thanks for asking Robin probably is without power as across the river they also got hit hard All those leave just held the snow and the trees make a great crack when they break limbs or just get pulled out of the ground

Also got about 8 inches plus. Lot's of melting as it fell, so true total hard to tell. Started around noon, and power went out about 4:45 pm. Still out now, and they are telling us it will be over a week, probly 1 1/2 weeks. Cable is out, and so my access is through my Myfi Hot spot card. We were lucky, no damage to the house, but numerous broken branches. Also, we have a generator, so the spare refrigerator in the garage is full of the neighbors stuff, and they are taking showers at our place. Our friends in the Springfield MA area got 27 inches. Jeez, seems like just about 6 weeks ago or so I was just sayin' the same things after Irene. ??? One one hand, I wish I'd be in Florida, instead of leaving in 10 days, on the other, I'm glad I'm still here to keep the house in order till power comes back. In the 20's tonight, the rest of the week is sposed' to be 50 or so. Hopefully all this white stuff will melt and power comes back soon. Never seen this much snow this early!

Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent. But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent. Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep. In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

Kinda wondered the same. When our bud V-A went silent for a whole day, figured he was without power or busy digging out. Good luck folks. Been there done that. Amazing, how much we depend on electricity for so many things. Heat, internet, water, internet, food, internet, etc..

Big mess here too. Couple of large limbs in the yard and on the street... No damage on the house this time. October is not supposed to be like this.

Doing ok,, still no power but we do have a generator, only dmage is a collapsed gazebo,,, we removed 99% of the trees anywhere near the house years ago. Left one but it is kept well pruned to try and weed out weak limbs. Neighbors didn't fare so well. For some reason the Rheem powervent LP water heater will not run on generator power,,,, electronic control just faults out.,,,, cold showers are quite invigorating!!!!!!!!

I listened to that earie sound of limbs cracking, then popping, then falling, all afternoon, evening, and night. Sucked big time. Lost cable TV, internet, and phone and they're still out. Got lucky, never lost power. The lights did flicker a few times, but they managed to stay on. Lost a couple of really nice trees around the property. Went around shaking of all of the evergreens I have around the house every hour or so so the snow would not build up on them and bend or break them. Most of the limbs came off of some really tall trees. One did hit the roof and then slid down. Thank goodness it didn't pull the gutter off with it.
Kids sleaded, the dog had fun, and even though the neighborhood looks like a war zone, we faired pretty well.
Stayed home as the roads were awful. Was wondering if OSS was out doing the slolam around tree branches with his Beemer. After all, it does have heated grips
