Henry and I rode 8.5 hours (mostly in the rain) through the north Georgia mountains
and down to Cheaha, arrived around 4:30 or so...

Carolyn came in the car, we planned to do the day trip on Saturday to the museum on
the bikes... it was really raining in Alabama on Saturday, we went in the car  cooldude

There were so many nice bikes at the museum. Here's me and Henry standing in front
of the best one:

Saturday night was a blast! Some guys were drinking funny wine...

We (everybody) had a goal of making enough seed money to reserve the inside lodge
and kitchen for next year. Carolyn and I bought a bunch of 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets.
Usually I win nothing, this time we won EVERYTHING, including a copy of Daniel Meyer's
first four books, and the Grand Prize donated by Mike Terry: three chrome pieces including
the radiator cover.

I already had the radiator cover (in red, not stinky old chrome)
so I headed up to the front where Tim was standing to see about making a little more seed
money. On the way to the front a bunch of guys clustered around me wanting to know if
I wanted to sell the chrome. Bottom line: three VRCC members got low-cost chrome, and
an extra $180 of seed money was obtained.

Turns out Sherry (Tim's wife) would have liked to have the radiator cover, hmmm, I wonder
what we can do about that  Wink ?

Me and Henry ran home on I20/I85 through Atlanta. I guess some people ride their bikes
in that kind of traffic every day, but I'm telling you I needed the hand of Jesus on my
shoulder screaming at 75 miles an hour through that twisty traffic-clogged quagmire of
tunnels and merging roads that is the center of Atlanta.

It was great seeing everyone... Strider and Big Owl and all the regular suspects were a
hoot... can't wait till next year...
