It's hard to say without seeing her face, but the blonde on the right, I think I would...

Oh, you mean step out onto the glass overlook?

Maybe... I wouldn't know until I was there if I would or not...

I seriously doubt it... but I DID go out on the Sky-Walk thing at the Grand Canyon.  That was cool, but not as cool as the pictures.

In a heart beat...that looks cool.  Wife on the other hand would stay at the bottom of the building.

it looks like it has a WALL...so....with the WALL.....YES, i would. IF IT DIDN'T HAVE THE GLASS WALL, i'm not so sure i would....especially....if it was windy up top!

with the wall there (looks like there IS a glass wall)....i would feel a bit more secure.

when you go up in the Arch at St. Louis...though not nearly as dramatic no doubt, they have little glass windows in the bottom of the walls....and the walls slant IN....so, you can look down under you....a bit....thanks to the slanting construction/design. though i'm sure, THIS....what's in this picture, would be a bit more....eh........dramatic!!!!!!!!

Each of the four Ledge boxes is comprised  of three layers of half-inch-thick glass. They are designed to hold about five tons, much more weight than they are expected to have to carry when they have a full group of visitors, and also higher than the two tons required by city code, according to the spokeswoman.

Hmmm.....expected to carry...........

So the Engineer in me wonders...........you always design for a certain set of circumstances...throw in a worst case ANTICIPATED situation....a little safety factor....BUT..........not TOO much safety factor, as you start gettting into the "law of diminishing return" in regards to cost to implement safety factors/design restraints....verses MONEY. So what if all the visitors were say Offensive linemen for the Chicago Bears football team....and they all weighed like 350 pounds.....and they ALL jammed onto the glass ledge. Is it designed to.......................ah.................i'm sure they took that into consideration  uglystupid2 2funny crazy2

(Ok, i know....5 tons is 10000 pounds. You'd have to get A BUNCH of 350 pound folks on that ledge to exceed that....but i was just havin' fun speculating here  Cheesy )

Hell yes.

In 2000 I stood with my tippy toes right on the edge of the Grand Canyon where that viewing platform has been built.

No fence, nothing. What a great feeling looking straigh down 4,000 feet at the tourist helicopters flying below me. cooldude

I would .... my forehead print has been on the observation decks of The Prudential Building, The Hancock and The Sears Tower. Of course, I would want to go at night so there would be a lot less light and thus making the glass almost invisible .... like you were walking on thin air.  cooldude
