This is the first time all year that the "Tres Gimps Amigos" actually rode together (Kickstand, Triumph, & Momz). Yeah,...November 3rd!

We try to get together Thursday mornings for breakfast and riding. However this year we had a multitude of "medical issues" and we really missed riding and exploring new places. Sometimes it was one of us or one of the wives or SOs.

Yesterday my buddy Tony Z and I got my new HF lift table (B-day gift from my wife) off my trailer and assembled (Yahoo,...Whopee!). So of course there's that "boys and their toys" thing. Three of us sitting in my workshop, laughing and telling stories, checking out my 82 CB750F and a little scooter that I bought a few years back for my daughter (still like new!) and about bragging about days gone by.

The weather is not quite condusive to good riding so a garage get together seemed quite appropriate.
And with the cold weather coming soon we may spend a lot more time "telling lies and bench racing" in the coming months. As long as we can keep ourselves out of the ER or at least healthy enough that we can get together and feed off each others strengths.

I'm going to a RTE for lunch tomorrow, bout a sixty mile round trip.  Departing at 0900, forecast 26 degrees and clear.  Maybe I should host a BBQ at my house and get the others to come here.  Might try that next week, my garage is heated.  cooldude hoser

Don't look like anyone I've seen that would spend much time in the ER, either of you. Cold weather and older fellows like us don't usually go together, but I'd bet my last dollar all of you can take it, for awhile anyway. Ride Safely or Stay by the fiire.

I too, don't seem to like cold weather much anymore.  I rode yesterday when it was 58 degrees, not too bad, but a far cry for what I used to do.

RJ  is another ole fart that did more riding than I ever did.  Heres a pic of both of us at one of the last CBR's.  Our combined age now is 162 if my memory serves.  I still ride but I don't have my Valk anymore..   RJ doesn't ride and still has his Valk, MGM.  I hope that he'll get some riding in on his Chevy Trike.

RJ is on the left if you've never met him.

Thanks for the memory Wayne.  I'm 79 and you are 83 right?    Dat makes 162.

Memory serves me correctly, that was 2004 or 05 at Doc's house.  I had the Chevy there.

That was before my shoulders went and my arms shriveling up.   My arms are about 1/2 or less in size now.     Workouts at the Gym have not helped rebuilt the water mass called muscles.

I was just thinking that if we had one more gimpy rider to ride with us,...we could be like the "Four Horseman of the Apocalipse".  Grin

Folks;
A couple of hours ago I rode my new toy to a shop. She (VTX 1800) needs new tires desperately.  Embarrassed
As with the Dragon, I'll be installing a car tire on this new toy. Whatever. Lips Sealed

"Nice Weather..."
"It never rains in California..." goes the old song... Sure enough, when I left home for the shop it was sunny and in the low 60's.  Cheesy

However, as I left the shop and mounted the bike, it started pouring like it has not in almost one year.
Notwithstanding, I decided to go ahead and baptize "MADAM X."
Although the ride home is FOUR miles, it took 35 minutes to make it fighting traffic under the rain. Evil tickedoff 2funny

Err... I rode home wearing a T-shirt, a shorty helmet, no gloves no goggles... soaked and wet.  uglystupid2
Not bad at all, except that it ain't fun riding during the Los Angeles rush hour under a torrential rain.

Well, I am now seating here down to my Depends waiting for my clothes to dry. ??? Grin

FACTOID: On 4 July 2009, it rained in L.A. for about 20 minutes. It was the first time it rained here on 4 July ...since 1938. Shocked
