We went once last year, out cruising the hill country for Thanksgiving weekend. Food was great and the place was much bigger than I had expected, especially out in the middle of (almost) nowhere. Just had to give it a try after the show on Man-vs-Food.
Not to mention that the roads to get there have some nice little twisties too!

We came in from Dripping Springs on FM 150 headed south. I especially liked the section of 150 south of the turn to get to Salt Lick (missed the turn, was too busy enjoying the
ride -er- drive in the truck)
It was very good and I would like to go again, but for me, Cooper's in Llano is still #1. Especialy the smoked prime rib... (still gotta try the New Braunfels location)
Haven't been to Black's yet either, so still need to sample it all to make a final decision!!!
