MI ABATE/VRCC Site-in and chili cook-off

Well the weather was crisp and clear; perfect for our annual Site-In and Chili Cook Off.

Damselfly and I got there early to help set up and it didn't take long for the smell of Gunpowder to permeate the air.

We even had a VRCC member (Phil Smith) come 100+ miles to join in and buy a set of handlebars.
Notice the inovative way he secured to his bike. Wrap in a towel and duct tape to secured into his saddlebags,...real neat and out of the way. I also gave him a VRCC tee shirt for his tenacity.

Sorry but we did not take pictures of the chili and other goodies.
We were too busy eating and laughing, then eating even more.

After dinner we commenced to our ABATE meeting and planing next years events and a possible Community Access/PBS TV show for 2012.

George Thanks for the great day and the intro to a very nice group of people. Damselfly handles that 9 like a pro. Rides and likes guns what a great catch. I took the long way home and found some very nice roads through central MI.
