A close friend of mine bought one of my Valks several months ago. Because of health problems it wasn't ridden much, now that he's hittin' on all cylinders he's been riding more. So far his front brakes have locked up twice. The first time he called and I walked him through bleeding both front calipers and they released. The brakes had not been touched in over 3 years prior and I changed the pads and fluid at that time. The second time happened maybe 50 miles later, no fluid added since first lockup. I've screwed with these bikes for years, changed fluid and pads many times and never had this problem.  Any suggestions??????

Thanks

It might be sticking calipers. Rebuild kits aren't expensive.

I have also heard, though never personally experienced, that the brake lines can deteriorate internally which can prevent free movement of the fluid. It seems to me that this problem would be more likely to cause the brakes to drag rather than sieze.
