My brother and I were riding on the Natchez Trace Parkway Saturday near Florence Al, when we were
overtaken by a gentleman on a nice Green & Silver Interstate. We were riding (his) Red Yamaha 1300 V-Star with a big black metal box on the back and I was behind him on a green and white Suzuki C50T Boulevard.

Anyone from the forum here?

We stopped at the welcome center at Collinwood, Tn to use the facilities and walked into an 80th birthday for the woman who runs the place. They made us feel like we belonged there and we spent about an hour talking to one of the volunteers who rides a Harley Heritage. He was super nice guy who told us about a nearby resident who has built the longest non-cemented rock wall in the States as a memorial to one of his relatives (possibly a great  or great great grandmother) who was forcibly relocated to Oklahoma with the rest of the Indian population from the area. She ended up walking back because she missed her home so much. I think he said it took her a couple of years to get there.

We ended up riding close to 300 miles yesterday and this was my first trip on the Natchez trace Parkway. What a great ride !!!

I had no idea we were going to ride that way, I was just following my brother as usual, or I would have taken my camera.
