Select local theaters will be showing one show of Long Way Down this Thursday, July 31 - one night only.  http://www.fathomevents.com//details.aspx?eventid=725

This is the Ewan McGregor (Star Wars) and Charlie Boorman (local bars) motorcycle trip from the North end of Scotland to the Southern tip of Africa.  It's the sequel to Long Way 'Round, their first trip that went East from London, all the way around to New York.

I'm planning on attending the 7:30 showing at the Tinseltown theater in Grapevine, which is just west of Joe's Crab Shack.  If you're interested in meeting up for the movie or dinner and then the movie, let me know.

Here's a crash clip since everyone loves those

Rose and I were planning on meeting up with one of our low-down, no-good, dirty Harley-riding friends and his lovely girlfriend for the movie, so we'll be there.  Not sure if we'll be able to ride as that depends on Rose getting her bike back from the shop.  No particular plans for dinner, but I never object to a plate of grub.

Run time on the movie is 2 hours, 5 minutes. Dinner after? It would be a good chance to try out Flips?
Happy hour prices all night Thursday. Serve full menu until 2am. ~Jeff

I'm going to be at the Tinseltown theater in Grapevine at 7:00 tomorrow night for this movie.  Afterwards, going to grab a burger at Flip's or some other spot close by. Shout if you're coming and I'll look for you.  For anyone who doesn't know what I look like off of a Valkyrie, look for this mug

I'll take the work clothes off for the movie and will wear a white shirt with motorcycles on it or a Ride For Kids t-shirt.

Sorry to anyone I missed on the way in or at Flip's.  This theater sold out at 10 am and I didn't know it. Hung out with other disappointed bikers till about 7:20 and went to have a beer at Wilhoite's

Sold out in Plano too! Internet ticket sales has got to have a lot to do with that surprise! Maybe we can get it on blue ray and watch it at Nora and Dave's? ~Jeff

i bought my tickets on the internet yesterday.  Smiley  the movie was good.  i hear the book is good, too.  i'm borrowing it from a friend, so i'll have a more indepth review soon.

also, rose and i got a copy of the TV series version of "Long Way Down" for a wedding gift.  it's in 6 episodes, so maybe we could split it up over two viewings.  we don't have a great big screen, but we're happy to host a viewing here.  if someone has a nicer home theater and wants to host, we'll bring the show!  Smiley
